The US Science Support Program for IODP is seeking senior scientists to serve on the JOIDES Resolution Facility Board (JRFB), including one representative from a non-U.S. IODP partner. The JRFB provides operational and management oversight of the JOIDES Resolution in fulfilling the objectives of the IODP Science Plan. New JRFB members will serve three-year terms beginning on October 1, 2021. Full terms of reference for the JRFB can be found here.
Letters should clearly indicate your primary field of expertise, briefly document previous committee experience, and describe your interest in the scientific ocean drilling programs (now and in the future). Candidates for the JRFB should have an extensive history of participation in scientific ocean drilling.
